How Our Intuitions Deceive Us
Taught By ProfessorChristopher Chabris, Union College
Why isintuition so important? Becauseintuition is the rapid thinking that we aren't aware of that
we do most of the time; because intuition comprises most ofthe thinking that we do in our lives.
This unique and insightful seminar is chock full of audienceexperiments, cartoon clips, and even a
Woody Allen joke.
ProfessorChristopher Chabris deconstructs the everyday illusions that we have about how our
minds work (no...youcannot safely talk on your cell phonewhile driving!) In doing so, Chabrisleads us
toward a greater awareness of our own minds, and a greatersensitivity
toward some basic faults in human nature.
