Sandy Neargarder is a Professor of Psychology at Bridgewater State University, where in 2008, she was presented with the Presidential Award for Distinguished Teaching. Her research has primarily focused on the visual and cognitive deficits associated with brain disorders, including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. She has published over 35 journal articles and has presented her research at dozens of regional, national, and international conferences.
