Overview

The events of the past year have made one thing clear: We are nothing without our health. If you have marveled at how quickly a vaccine against Covid was developed and at how your doctor will now see you by video, you may wonder what else medicine has in store for us. Will we get to be 200 years old? Will we be cyborgs? Regrow limbs? Are we sowing the seeds for the next pandemic? Will you get your healthcare from a doctor, a robot, a website or your fridge? And how are we going to pay for all this?

In this talk, Professor Ronald Tamler will give a wide-ranging overview of the current cutting-edge innovations expected in the not-so-distant future. These include facets of medicine as diverse and far-reaching as aging, diagnostics, treatment, personalized medicine, digital health, healthcare delivery and many more.
