Overview

Who runs the world?

According to renowned Yale business school professor, Paul Bracken, the answer isn’t difficult, though it may not be the one most people want to hear.

Business runs the world. From 5G to AI, from automobiles to computer chips, big business is the centerpiece of global competition between countries. This is a radical difference from the Cold War, and it subverts traditional geopolitics of Sun Tzu, Clausewitz, and Kissinger. This class will analyze the role of the multinational corporation in today’s international politics and describe how it reshapes everything–from antitrust to climate change.
